LIFETIME DEVELOPMENTS PRINCIPAL, BRIAN BROWN, SLEEPS OUT 2019

Covenant House held its annual ‘Sleep Out – Champions Toronto’ event on April 4^th. Lifetime Developments had representation, with Principal Brian Brown and VP Customer Relations Brandon Carson in attendance, as well as Craig Slama Partner at Jablonsky, the Structural Engineer Consultant for Lifetime. Brian, Brandon add Craig joined 100 others for a night outside to raise awareness of youth homelessness and more than $660,000 for youth at Covenant House.

Sleep Out is an immersive experience, where participants take on the challenge of spending one night on the streets with nothing but a sleeping bag and a piece of cardboard. By taking part, Brian, Brandon and Craig joined those in attendance to demonstrate their commitment to making a different in the lives of the most vulnerable.

The 100 participants met up at 6pm on the eve of April 4^th for registration and networking, followed by dinner served by the youth in Covenant’s House Cooking for Life program. The sleepers then had the opportunity to hear remarks by Covenant House alumni, with tours and evening programming afterwards. When the clock struck 11pm, everyone gathered outside with their sleeping bags and card board in hand ready to brave the cold and hit the streets for the night. A difficult but incredibly worthwhile experience!
